Candler Park is a historic neighborhood five minutes east of downtown Atlanta. Over the years, it has become one of Atlanta's most coveted in-town neighborhoods, with plenty of shopping, dining, and recreation options all within walking distance. Most houses in Candler Park are detached single-family homes. There are also early 20th-century multi-family homes and larger apartment complexes dating from the mid-20th century.
 

Like most nearby neighborhoods, Candler Park boasts many small restaurants, bars, specialty shops, antique stores, and coffee shops. Because of its many parks and walkability, the neighborhood is also considered very friendly. Residents enjoy suburban living with easy access to the endless amenities in Atlanta.

 

The Flying Biscuit Cafe is a must-visit for breakfast. It's well-known for its friendly staff and delectable food, with people coming from afar to sample the menu. It has some healthy options, and the grits are their most popular item.

Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q is one of Atlanta's best-rated barbeque restaurants. They have delectable ribs and brisket that will leave you wanting more. They also serve heaping portions to ensure you are full when you leave.

Dr. Bombay's Underwater Tea Party is a community teahouse that serves as the foundation for The Learning Tea, an international women's education program. It serves tea, desserts, and lasting memories. Whether you're enjoying the signature high tea service, a cup of coffee, or one of their delectable desserts, you'll be part of a delightful sensory experience.

Sean's Candler Park serves killer biscuits, sandwiches, and delicious coffee. The Candler Park Market is a neighborhood favorite, ideal for picking up a few items between grocery runs. They have an excellent beer and wine selection and various locally sourced items. A deli with fresh sandwiches is also available at the market.

 

Candler Park is the neighborhood's most popular attraction. This sprawling 55-acre park rivals Piedmont Park in terms of amenities. A public golf course, tennis courts, a children's playground, a swimming pool, a basketball court, pavilions, and a walking and biking trail are all available. Locals enjoy the park because it is less crowded than other parks of comparable size.

The Candler Park Music and Food Festival is a new two-day music and food festival in the area. It features an excellent lineup of musicians. Candler Park Fall Fest has been a neighborhood favorite for over 15 years. Two days of music, a 5K, an artist market, outdoor yoga, and some of Atlanta's most famous food trucks are all part of the festivities. There is also a special area for children called Kidlandia, which features carnival rides, live shows, and sweets.

The city-owned Candler Park Golf Course is perfect for all ages, while the Little Five Points district offers more activities to enjoy.
