Candler Park is a historic neighborhood five minutes east of downtown Atlanta. Over the years, it has become one of Atlanta's most coveted in-town neighborhoods, with plenty of shopping, dining, and recreation options all within walking distance. Most houses in Candler Park are detached single-family homes. There are also early 20th-century multi-family homes and larger apartment complexes dating from the mid-20th century.

Things to Do

Candler Park is the neighborhood's most popular attraction. This sprawling 55-acre park rivals Piedmont Park in terms of amenities. A public golf course, tennis courts, a children's playground, a swimming pool, a basketball court, pavilions, and a walking and biking trail are all available. Locals enjoy the park because it is less crowded than other parks of comparable size.

The Candler Park Music and Food Festival is a new two-day music and food festival in the area. It features an excellent lineup of musicians. Candler Park Fall Fest has been a neighborhood favorite for over 15 years. Two days of music, a 5K, an artist market, outdoor yoga, and some of Atlanta's most famous food trucks are all part of the festivities. There is also a special area for children called Kidlandia, which features carnival rides, live shows, and sweets.

The city-owned Candler Park Golf Course is perfect for all ages, while the Little Five Points district offers more activities to enjoy.
